How many people can play Color Friend?
The sweet spot is between 3 and 15 participants. With fewer than 3, it's not as fun. With more than 15, preparing that many kits becomes difficult and you may run out of distinct colors.
What's the recommended budget per kit?
We suggest $5 to $10 per kit. Since you prepare multiple kits, each item can be inexpensive. A group of 8 with $7 kits means $56 total, but you receive 8 gifts!
What if I can't find items in my color?
Get creative! Packaging counts, ribbons and bows can match the color, and even chocolates with colored wrapping work. The key is for the overall kit to feel like that color.
Can I combine it with traditional Secret Santa?
It's best not to mix them in the same event. They have different dynamics. But you can alternate: one year Secret Santa, the next year Color Friend!
How does the reveal work?
Unlike Secret Santa, there's no 'big reveal' of who gave what. Everyone knows each person made kits in their color. The surprise is in the items they chose!
